Mr Bake started of in 2015 as a home industry based business supplying select baked items to local community in Umkomaas. We have grown over the years to become a Speciality Bakery and Cafe based in our own retail premises in Bisset Street, Umkomaas. Our baked products are made with quality ingredients using old school recipes and methods and are 100% preservatives free. Our Signature items include a range of American Doughnuts, French Pastries and Gateaux. We pride ourselves on being Fresh Cream product “Specialists”. Preparing our Cafe Food is based on simple, unfussy processes and values. We work with a small store of quality ingredients sourced locally and easily available. Our Cafe meals include authentic Indian curries, burgers, signature pizzas and our Gatsby rolls. Our family of bakers and assistants are local people who have worked hard to learn the best way of making everything we sell. We pride ourselves on bringing you, authentic quality baked products and meals made daily, fresh for you.
Soraya Ismail has been involved in the baking industry for the last 20 years with extensive knowledge of cooking and bakery alike. She has been actively involved in women empowerment programs for the past 10 years and assists women from all backgrounds on how to become self sufficient and empowered.
She started off her journey as a home based business and continued to grow her clientele gradually, eventually supplying her biscuits to over 25 outlets in and around Kzn. Her products reach an extensive customer base, including international clients from the US, UK, Australia and India.

Mohammed has been in the bakery Industry for 30 years, having worked in corporate bakery for 20 years (Including Pick n Pay and Checkout central bakery plants).
With his extensive knowledge in both production and management, he is now also a Private Bakery Consultant, assisting other bakeries off the ground. He also owned and headed a 24hour bread industrial plant in Briardene.
He specializes in Artisan, Continental and Italian breads, his famous Mr Bake doughnuts and other confectionery items have become a household name.
